أطلقت استوديو الفيلم الجديد في هوليوود فيلم رعب اسمه "Haunting Melissa" من الذي طلب الأجهزة اللوحية والهواتف الذكية.
وقال انه قال مخرج الفيلم نيل ادلشتاين، الذي أنتج فيلم "مولهولاند محرك" (2001)، لوكالة فرانس برس انها طريقة جديدة للوصول إلى الجمهور، مضيفا "أردت أن تجد سبلا جديدة لرواية قصة والوصول إلى الجمهور عن طريق استخدام التكنولوجيا المتاحة في هذه الأجهزة قوية جدا ".
وتتجه فيلم "Haunting Melissa" لجمهور شاب ارتياد السينما أقل كثيرا من الأجيال السابقة ويغوص أكثر وأكثر في ثقافة الشبكات الاجتماعية والأجهزة النقالة، وفقا لمدير، الذي يخطط أن يطلق سراحه من خلال مرسمه وليس المقصود Hooked Digital Media" أفلام للعرض على شاشات السينما.
